U20's 2018 7's Cup Winners

Another success for HW Rugby Club where our u20’s won the Bucks u20’s 7’s @ Aylesbury.

Dispatching all teams to the Cup final.

We played our old adversaries Marlow in the final. We went 3 tries to 1 down when disaster struck Musa “Red card - I did not tell the ref where he went wrong” Umar was sent packing. With a huge mountain to climb “the conveyor” belt of talent had to dig deep, Freddie R producing an incredible solo effort to go the length of the pitch but even then we were 1 try down with less than a minute on the clock .

Playing with pride more than anything now. Stealing a Marlow line-out by Isaac Ajala our big money signing, 1 man lift by the man mountain Gurton, the ball was passed to our 7’s marvel Freddie “magic man” Roddick who went over from short range - scores tied - Wycombe kicked off with what seemed earlier an impossible victory only to regain possession. Our game plan was give the ball to Freddie and Freddie did the rest, scoring the winner and converting!! And the rest is Freddie, sorry history.......that is 3 Cup wins in the last 4 @ Bucks County 7’.........

MoM was a tough call.....
