Every year the club runs a Touch Rugby event over 9 weeks. This is run from 17th May to July on a Wednesday evening.

The first week is registration and a review of the rules, and then a friendly game out on the mead.

The following weeks every team will play 2 matches, and the final week they play one match and then there is the presentations of the awards.

Registration Evening

The 11th year of Touch Rugby will commence on Wednesday 17th May 2023 and will run for 9 weeks.

  • Mixed squads of up to 12 players can enrol, although teams on the field are only 7 players to include at least one female, at a cost of £60.00 per squad.
  • First evening will be for enrolment to include submitting Team application forms together with individual registration forms. These forms are available from this website for completion and can be either returned electronically to terry.brown715@talktalk.net or handed in on enrolment night.
  • Team application forms should ideally be sent in advance as there is a maximum number of teams in our league
  • Individuals wishing to take part but not part of a team should come along to the enrolment evening when we should be able to integrate them into team.

Payment will be required at Registration on enrolment evening.

There is also a short video (on club YouTube channel) together with a copy of the rules of play (there are only a few). These will also be explained on the first evening together with short games to enable teams to be sorted out and for practice purposes.

The league, which will commence on the following week, will then run for 8 weeks.

The club bar will be open each evening after the games and free food available for players, referees etc.

I look forward to seeing many of you there, and let’s hope for another successful and enjoyable event of Touch Rugby.
