The U14 boys took on Amersham and Chesham in the semi-final for the Bucks Cup Sunday 4th February.
Having not faced A&C for some time and them having something of a fearsome reputation, the Wycombe boys were unsure what to expect.
A&C did not disappoint and brought physicality, hard running and a fast line speed.
We held our own, though, and were well in the game at half time after a converted try against us 10 minutes in.
First points came to us after the break with Lincoln kicking a penalty after our regular kicker George was taken from the field injured. Sadly, Lincoln soon joined him on the sidelines with a dead leg, and with a disrupted backline A&C found a way through for a couple more scores.
The boys defended valiantly with support from pitch side vocal and much appreciated, but A&C had the better of the scoreboard.
Final score was 28-3.
Player of the match as voted by A&C was Ralph .
Best of luck to A&C in the final on 10th March. For High Wycombe U14s we look forward to the rest of our season.
