We travelled to our erstwhile partners Chesham to play a 10's mini tournament against our hosts and Fullerians.
First up were Fullerians who we defeated 32-7. Fullerians were a little over-awed by our strong runners and struggled to make their tackles count. They are a friendly club and if they can gain a bit more confidence in defence I'm sure they will show progress.
Next up, we played Chesham. It seemed more than a bit strange to be taking the field against players that until a few months ago, we were playing alongside. In addition, we know all of their players and they know ours, so we knew it would be a stern test. I'm pleased to report that we ran out 22-7 winners.Defences win games as they say, and ours was robust, preventing many Chesham moves at source. In attack we were at our best when focusing on distribution and support.
As suspected, we have a fine bunch of strong running players and we took a first step today to moulding them into a great team.
Well done Wycombe
