High Wycombe RFC
Aylesbury RFC

The under 18's played a cup match against Aylesbury on Sunday. The glorious weather inspired some excellent running rugby. Every Baby Belle worked exceptionally hard supporting their team mates. The first BB try was scored by Alice who threw her customary outrageous dummy on the half way line, went through the gap and outpaced the defence to touch down. Aylesbury then came back through their forwards to power over the Wycombe line - game on. The Wycombe girls then moved the ball wide to use Daniela's pace to great effect running in two length of the field tries. The last Wycombe try was scored by Ruth who broke the defensive line on our own 22 and just kept going. It took some 15 seconds to run the length of the field, then another 15 seconds to drag half the Aylesbury side the final 5 meters before touching down. Awesome effort. Aylesbury responded with two late tries and a conversion for a nail biting finale. Wycombe finished 20 - 17 winners. A great effort across the whole team and special mention for Daniela, Samantha, Josie and Natalie who having moved up from under 15's worked tirelessly running, tackling and rucking for all they were worth. Proud of you all.
